Australia Surveys Attitudes About Nanotechnology – 2005 to 2008
In August, the Australian Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research (DIISR) released results from a public awareness survey of 1,000 Australians on nanotechnology benefits and risks. Among the findings: There is a “high level of belief” that nanotechnology can improve quality of life and ensure economic benefits. Survey found few respondents were concerned about nanotechnology, although most say risks could arise and should be addressed. Report conducted by Market Attitude Research Services.
